Our first "harvest" from the garden. Actually, our second. Before I could get my camera, Hays ate the first strawberry. It was such a good strawberry--big, red, juicy and sweet. No wonder they are Hays's favorite. There is definitely a difference from store bought. The corn is taking on a corn stalk appearance now. At first, it resembled grass. The early peas are starting to climb. The lettuce and radishes are starting to take off. The zucchini and pole beans are still kinda leggy, I'm hoping they will look better soon. I'm still looking for signs of life from carrots, onions, broccoli and peppers. I planted my blueberry bushes and am looking forward to fresh berries by July 4th.
