You gotta love the 80's

The other day I was in my "muscle gym" out in the garage. I look to see what song is playing on my XM radio: is it the Cure?, Erasure?--I can't place it. Squinting because I'm old, I see that it is a band I've never heard before--shocking! Smile. The band is called Haysi Fantazee. Well, you should know that I call Hays, Haysi Maysi--and now, Haysi Maysi Fantazee.

I think it fits her. It is fast becoming a hobby of mine to find all these references to my Hays. I've run into at least 8 other Hays-es. Most of them boys. And to think, I wanted to name her Camille. Well, she is no Camille--she is most definitely Haysi Maysi Fantazee.

Poor Madden, only aging sportscasters for her, no neat 80's new wave bands.

Yay! I'm so glad you're still blogging. Yes, I'm Lindsey Hancock's friend in FL, and yes, I still read your blog every chance I get. It's great - insightful and fun and sweet and silly. Keep writing!

You should get the Shazam application for iphone (but umm, first you have to get an iphone)--Sam and I are obsessed with it. Every time you are at the movies, watching tv, listening to the radio, whatever, and a song comes on, you let shazam listen to a few seconds of the song and it tells you what the song is and who sings it! Its like magic! I feel like a spy with secret spy equipment every time I use it.
